A new name, a new logo, a new website! We are the same forward-thinking, technology-focused music business that we have always been, but have now rebranded to a name that’s more appropriate to our multi-platform operations across the music industry’s live, physical and online realms: AEI Group.

Marking 20 years since our founders James Cotterill and Diluk Dias established our flagship brand – respected scene leader Drum&BassArena – our company has developed from its grassroots foundations to a business that, at its heart, identifies and develops talented music entrepreneurs, helps them build brands and promote acts and provides them with the tools and resources to build the largest, most engaged audience possible.

“The rebrand represents the evolution of the company from its humble beginnings in the industrial north to a multi-platform music company with a global audience.  The ‘factory’ logo demonstrates our commitment to helping people build brands, careers and audience.”– Diluk Dias

The rebrand is complete with a full website redesign where we display our multi-faceted operations with a breakdown of the benefits for talented young brands, curators, artists and promoters who work with us.

These developments follow the acquisition of a new canal-side office location in Hackney – The Bankstock Building, a former art deco factory built in the 1930s – where our expanding team has its largest workspace, complete with media studios, to date.

The re-brand, new office and new website are now in line with our company’s focus and global business strategy for 2016 and beyond. We now truly represent the “full-stack” business model spanning across the music, media and live business.

Our current strategy includes investment in worldwide festivals (Let It Roll, Eldorado, Sea Dance), industry conferences (Full Stack Music, BEC), music releases including both compilations and artist releases across a variety of genres and ongoing media partnerships with consumer brands such as Desperados.

These activities and projects are just a snapshot of our current operations. Constantly searching for innovation, connections and opportunities, we encourage contact from any artist, entrepreneur, event promoter or potential commercial partner who wants to know more.

Further details on our current activities:

Worldwide festivals and events: Our event team are facing their busiest summer to date with stand-alone events and arena hosting for portfolio brands and beyond. They include Sea Dance + EXIT Adventure, Serbia/Montenegro, TheSoundYouNeed Festival, Malta, Let It Roll, Czechia, Cirque Du Soul, UK, We Are FSTVL, UK and Sundown Festival, UK.

Beats Evolution Conference: Hosted in Prague, Czechia, BEC is the world’s first drum & bass conference where the scene’s highest profile and most successful artists, labels, managers and agents will gather to create an even stronger global footprint as the unique genre develops into its third decade.

Full Stack Music: A regular series of London-based events that unites the most creative and candid brains in the music and media sector, allowing them to discuss pressing matters of the industry and how to tackle the many challenges the music sector faces. With live performances from breaking new music artists, the idea is to combine development with pleasure in a relaxed but engaged context.

Music releases: Fresh from releasing albums with global electronic music portal and grime’s most respected brand Butterz, our music division continue to release albums that consistently hit the iTunes dance top 10 on both sides of the Atlantic. Constantly scouting for exciting new brands and artists to work with, recent artist signings include Cartoon and IZECOLD.

AEI Transparency: As well as physical releases, our music team are also in the early development phases of a unique reporting portal for clients which will allow artists and labels to log-in and see daily statistics and in-depth analyses of their fanbase.

Desperados partnership: Following 2015’s Best Entertainment & Event Sponsorship Award at the Sponsorship Awards, UKF will be working with drinks company Desperados once again this year on a series of bespoke shorts that reinforces Desperados brand values while offering fans content that’s natural, relevant and desirable.

Drum&BassArena 20: Celebrating 20 years at the very forefront of the genre, our flagship brand Drum&BassArena are currently working on a series of projects to mark this hallmark anniversary including a world tour, an album and a feature length documentary.
